Legalization of stay and work of a foreigner

Please get to know the case study in which we describe our role in obtaining a residence and work permit and starting a business for a foreigner.

Challenge

Our challenge was to legalize the stay and work of a foreigner.

The scope of this service was

  • Obtaining a visa Obtaining a Business Harbor for a foreigner,
  • Assistance in registering and accepting a PESEL number in the territory of the Republic of Poland,
  • Opening a bank account and running a business.

Project duration:

We received the order on December 6, 2023.
We ended on February 9, 2024.

Project scope:

  • Preparing an appeal against the decision to refuse a Poland Business Harbor visa
  • Verification of documents to appeal against the decision to refuse a visa
  • Assistance in obtaining a visa for the foreigner’s family,
  • Registration of a foreigner on the territory of the Republic of Poland
  • Obtaining a Polish PESEL number
  • Opening a bank account in Poland
  • Establishing a sole proprietorship

The team that helped the foreigner obtain all the documents consisted of 4 people.

How we did it:

A citizen of country X wanted to come to Poland for work purposes. For this purpose, he applied to the Consulate for a national visa. After receiving a refusal to issue a national visa, he came to us for help.

Our first step was to assess why the office denied our client a visa. For this purpose, we asked the client to send the documents he submitted for the visa application.

We familiarized ourselves with the foreigner’s situation, diagnosed the errors, and then prepared an appeal against the refusal to issue a visa. The foreigner had to obtain the necessary documents for the appeal. The exchange of the graduation diploma for certificates of employment in IT was crucial. We have prepared the application in two languages – Polish and English.

At this stage, we contacted the foreigner via the Internet, which posed a challenge in verifying documents. An additional difficulty was the time difference between us. We also got the Consulate to obtain the necessary information for a foreign visa.

We appealed against the visa refusal, and this appellation was accepted. Our client received a one-year Poland Business Harbor visa, as did his family. Now he could come to Poland.

Further documents were needed for the client to start providing services by the signed business contract.

We prepared the appropriate documents, thanks to which the foreigner received registration for temporary residence and a Polish PESEL number. We also assisted in opening a bank account. It is difficult for a foreigner because only some banks allow you to open an account with a residence card.

As a result of these activities, our client was able to start legal business activity in Poland.

Success

The project to obtain a residence and work permit was successful. Our client received the documents needed for legal stay and work in Poland.
