Frequently asked quesitions?

Can I work while waiting for a residence permit?

A foreigner may continue working in Poland while waiting for a new residence permit, provided they are legally entitled to work in Poland. This applies, for example, when they previously held a valid residence and work permit and continue working for the same employer under the same employment conditions.

What happens if my visa expires?

If your visa expires, but you submitted your residence permit application while it was still valid, your stay in Poland remains legal until you receive a final decision on your residence permit.

Can I change my employer?

The answer depends on several factors:

  • whether you want to change jobs during the process,
  • whether you want to change jobs after completing the legalization process with your current employer,
  • what documents you currently hold,
  • what type of permit you are applying for.

Can I travel outside Poland during the procedure?

Yes, you can travel during the process, if you have a valid travel document, for example a valid residence card. However, it is a good idea to appoint a representative who can receive correspondence from the Immigration Office if they need to contact you.

How long does the process take?

The residence legalization process can take from a few months to several years, depending on the region where you submit your application.

What documents will I need?

The main documents you need are your passport, proof of application fee payment, proof of residence card fee payment and a photo. Other documents depend on the type of permit you are applying for.

Prices

The cost depends on the type of procedure and the scope of support. After reviewing your situation, we provide a clear quotation before the service begins.
