PROJECT

Member of the System Integration team delivering wireless communication projects.

Act as the key individual responsible for providing consultation services and performing reviews in the area of new telecom site development and adaptation works on existing telecom sites (towers, rooftops) to be performed by subcontractors.

Tasks for this role would include reviewing design drawings and scopes of work prepared by subcontractors; ensuring that the drawings are accurate; conducting structural analysis to ensure the tower is structurally sound; and understanding the structural regulations associated with it.

Responsible internally for the delivery of telecom site solutions within the agreed budget and subcontract agreement signed, for optimizing costs, and for identifying scope changes in cooperation with the Project Manager.

YOU WILL

• Develop and document standard civil engineering, construction, and building practices to be applied to subcontractors, aligning with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
• Act as a senior technical resource for the department or cross-functional activities related to civil engineering,
• Provide civil engineering support and direction for Rollout Manager and project Field Engineering staff engineers, as well as subcontractors.
• Participate as necessary in tendering, documentation, and award of construction work for telecom site build projects.
• Manage civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering activities for the expansion or modification of existing telecom sites,
• Review/approve subcontractor design submissions for compliance with the scope, applicable standards, codes, and project specs.
• Assist Project Management, Field Engineering, and Procurement groups as required in the acquisition/construction of new telecom sites or the modification of existing ones.
• Assist the Rollout Manager in dealing with civil engineering issues related to third-party towers for collocation requests.

MUST HAVE

• Requires expert knowledge and a minimum of 3 years of experience in analysis and cellular antenna system designs for rooftops and tower installations, both new and existing, or overlay telecom sites
• Wireless telecommunications experience preferred
• In-depth knowledge and interpretation of design drawings, and dealing with Architectural and Engineering subcontractors
• Experience in planning, engineering, and new construction or expansion of telecommunications structures, buildings, systems, and wireless networks
• Working knowledge of telecom and construction industry codes and standards
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Project management experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with standard office and CAD software.
