Role overview

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Architect to lead the design and development of scalable, safety-critical software solutions in the automotive domain. This role combines hands-on architecture work with technical leadership, translating customer and system requirements into robust, reusable designs. You will collaborate closely with OEMs, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, driving best practices in embedded development, performance, and compliance while mentoring engineers and shaping the technical direction of multiple projects.

You will

• Lead software architecture design and implementation for embedded systems
• Define architecture and verification strategies, ensuring scalability and quality
• Conduct code reviews and mentor engineering teams
• Translate customer, system, and safety requirements into architecture solutions.
• Design reusable software architectures and ensure requirements traceability
• Collaborate with OEMs, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
• Support product development, feature design, and technical decision-making
• Drive performance improvements and ensure compliance with Automotive SPICE
• Act as a technical interface for customers and support issue resolution

Must have

• 9+ years of experience in software development, including architecture roles
• Strong experience in embedded systems and scalable, multi-threaded software
• Solid knowledge of Object-Oriented design and software architecture
• Experience with microcontrollers, RTOS (Linux, QNX, OSEK), and Git
• Familiarity with UML tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect)
• Understanding of functional safety (ISO 26262)
• Knowledge of automotive protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
• Fluency in English
