PROJECT

SecureDrive NextGen is a forward-looking R&D initiative focused on building the next generation of secure embedded platforms for the automotive industry. The project aims to design scalable, resilient, and regulation-compliant software architectures for connected and intelligent vehicles, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity, safety, and long-term maintainability.

You will be working on cutting-edge security concepts, embedded platforms, and future-oriented automotive systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams across software, hardware, and manufacturing domains.

YOU WILL

• Perform requirements analysis with a strong focus on cybersecurity impact and threat modeling.
• Provide technical leadership in cybersecurity across software, hardware, and manufacturing domains, including cryptographic key management, throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Research and assess emerging security technologies and their applicability in the automotive domain
• Define implementation strategies for prototypes and proof-of-concepts
• Design and develop technical solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities
• Identify and adapt embedded platforms and operating systems for future automotive systems
• Act as a subject matter expert for cybersecurity evaluations, audits, and risk assessments
• Guide product teams in integrating new cybersecurity architectures and validation methodologies

MUST HAVE

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in C and low-level programming
• Solid understanding of embedded systems, including networking, cryptography, and resource management
• Experience with system customization and optimization
• Hands-on experience in security operations, including incident handling and threat management
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity engineering, threat analysis, and risk assessment
• Experience with tools such as Enterprise Architect, Jira, and Polarion
• Good English skills

NICE TO HAVE

• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (SAE, ISO) and frameworks such as ISO 21434 and UNECE WP.29
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., ISO 21434 CSMS)
• Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, Ethernet)
• Familiarity with Bluetooth, NFC, and Wi-Fi implementations
• Ability to read and interpret circuit schematics, hardware datasheets, and logic designs
• Experience in designing software/hardware interfaces (device drivers, BSPs)
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR-compliant platforms
• Expertise in threat modeling and security design reviews for new technologies
• Experience with hardware security technologies such as HSM, SHE, ARM TrustZone, and TEE
