PROJECT

We are expanding our engineering team to support the development of an advanced Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The project is currently in its initial phase and involves mechanical design for A-sample development and production. The role requires strong technical expertise, automotive experience, and a high level of ownership for mechanical design activities, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

YOU WILL

• Lead the mechanical design of ECU compute products
• Work closely with CAD designers and collaborate with Electrical Engineering, Validation, Material Engineering, and other technical disciplines
• Analyze and interpret requirements from both internal and external stakeholders using tools such as Polarion and DOORS
• Ensure dimensional accuracy through detailed tolerance calculations and application of GD&T
• Support Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and management
• Apply automotive design standards related to EMC, ESD, heat dissipation, and structural requirements
• Participate in design reviews and DFMEA activities to ensure product quality and robustness

MUST HAVE

• 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably with a focus on automotive electronic hardware design
• 5+ years of experience working with sheet metal, die casting, and plastic components
• Strong knowledge of EMC and ESD design requirements
• Practical understanding of thermal behaviour and heat dissipation in electronic head units
• Solid experience in GD&T and tolerance analysis
• Very good written and spoken English skills
• Strong team orientation and collaboration skills

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Polarion and DOORS
• Knowledge of DFMEA methodology
• Background in ECU design or similar automotive computer products
• Experience in A-sample development and automotive production environments
