PROJECT

We are looking for an experienced RF Network Planning Engineer to support radio network planning and optimization activities for TETRA projects in Poland. In this role, you will work closely with system engineering teams across the EMEA region, supporting both the design and implementation of radio communication networks.

YOU WILL

• Plan and design radio networks, including coverage planning, frequency planning, and network configuration
• Create detailed RF network plans, including coverage maps, neighbour lists, equipment lists, and coverage verification plans.
• Perform RF site search and candidate selection for new network deployments
• Prepare RF site designs and technical inputs for implementation teams
• Review technical documentation and RF site design drawings to ensure compliance with planned configurations
• Coordinate drive test campaigns and support measurement activities in the field
• Analyze drive test data and prepare optimization and coverage verification reports
• Support radio network optimization and troubleshooting, including performance analysis and parameter adjustments
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams and support project delivery activities

MUST HAVE

• 3+ years of experience in planning radio networks (mobile networks or private LMR networks)
• Experience in Radio Access Network (RAN) planning for large communication networks
• Practical experience with radio network planning tools (e.g. HTZ, ICS Telecom)
• Experience in drive test data analysis and reporting
• Ability to interpret and review technical RF documentation and site design drawings
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in Polish and English

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with TETRA radio networks
• Good understanding of mobile radio technologies (2G / 3G / 4G – 3GPP)
• Experience in RF site design, installation or commissioning
• Experience with GIS tools such as QGIS, Global Mapper, or MapInfo
• Knowledge of microwave transmission planning (e.g. PathLoss)
• Experience working in pre-sales or proposal preparation environments
• Telecommunications-related degree (BSc or higher)
