Join a team responsible for the reliability and performance of business-critical PostgreSQL environments supporting transactional applications. The role focuses on database administration, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and cloud-based PostgreSQL operations, with a strong emphasis on modern infrastructure and operational excellence.

You will

• Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
• Perform database backup, recovery, and restoration activities
• Optimize PostgreSQL configurations and query performance for transactional workloads
• Design and maintain PostgreSQL data models and SQL scripts
• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to integrate PostgreSQL into the broader platform ecosystem
• Monitor database health, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance improvements
• Diagnose and resolve production incidents related to PostgreSQL
• Support PostgreSQL environments running in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Must have

• 5+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL Database Administrator
• Strong expertise in installing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining PostgreSQL databases
• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL performance tuning, including optimization of read and write workloads
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL data modeling and SQL scripting
• Ability to evaluate database performance, isolate bottlenecks, and implement effective optimizations
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Experience working in production environments supporting transactional systems
• Fluent English and Polish

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL in GCP environments
• Experience with DataStax Enterprise Service (DSE)
• Familiarity with cloud-based database operations and automation
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools for database environments
