PROJECT

The vision of the Payments Orchestration Layer (POL) is to introduce a lean and reusable payment orchestration engine that will route payments from initiation through security to successful execution. It will remove bespoke and duplicate code and insert effective touch points with specialized applications needed for the payment journey (customer channel/industry gateway, sanctions screening, fraud and money laundering prevention, generation of payment instructions, submission to payment processors, bookkeeping). It will be an enabler to deliver new product features at high speed, low cost, and with the desired quality.

The program is looking to configure the built Microservices as part of the Business Outcomes we plan to deliver. This is with the vision to make our elevated architecture capable of satisfying growing need of partners and market scheme demands for Faster Deliveries.

YOU WILL

• Drive and lead the engineering function for the application of POL
• Work with the architecture team and the application team and participate analysis of the POL project requirement
• Support transforming the current POL applications and solution, aligning with our elevated Architecture
• Support the operation of the Payments solutions
• Follow internal DevOps principles
• Coordinating with stakeholders
• Participating in wider architecture discussions.

MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s Degree required in Computer Science or related majors
• Minimum of 8 years’ applied experience as an API architect
• Strong experience in API designing and creating architectural artefacts such as gap analysis, low-level designs, data models, etc.
• More than 6 years’ of engineering background in back-end Java application development, application security and authentication development, Spring Boot, caching, and middleware
• Solid knowledge of infrastructure like Linux OS, networking, storage, load-balancer, etc.
• Expertise in JVM tuning and diagnostics for application troubleshooting and performance optimization
• Expertise in distributed system design, like microservices, Spring Boot
• Expertise in Docker, k8s, and service mesh
• Expertise in monitoring and observability technologies like Appdynamics, Splunk, Jaeger, Kiali, and Open Telemetry
• Expertise in cloud and DevOps, familiar with network (VPC) and firewall on cloud, IAM, and cloud costing
• The passion and ability to lead/motivate and develop technologists, including mentoring and coaching
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts, and influence technical choices relating to business, development, and architectural requirements.

• Expert-level SQL coding abilities
• Knowledge in the payments business.
